Emotions are closely connected to physiological changes alongside the human body. These factors are controlled by the autonomous nervous system. Some ot these parameters can be measured with suitable sensor solutions: This i.e. holds true for heart rate, temperature or skin conductance / skin resistance.

The EREC emotion detection system is based upon technologies engineered by the Fraunhofer IGD institute and allows you to measure and control some of these parameters live and in real time. The system consists of a special sensor equipped glove and a data acquisition unit. The glove has different sensors implemented, i.e. sensors for skin conduction and skin temperature. Data which is obtained through the glove is forwarded in real time to a data acquisition unit by mobile phone or via USB to a computer.

Specialized algorithems include evaluation, dealing with artefacts and a further signal processing prior to data transmission.

System advantages: The EREC system consists of a very robust and innovative data analysis and -modulation which ensures that you receive reasonable data at any given time. Several algorithms enhance the reliability of the data obtained through the system.  A wireless design via bluetooth (product nummber 8852) creates a high user acceptability and reduces errors. For integration into other system standards the communication protocol remains open. Time until system needs to be recharged depends on the actual form of usage.
