In some cases deficits or other complicities from children are hard to explain. A handedness and laterality which is not a part of the predisposition could be the reason for that. By just observing this it is not possible to identify the handedness and laterality. With the Speed-Tapping-Program it is possible to define the motor speed for both hands – with help of the middle tap-interval, this means the time between two key taps on the Morse key. Further you get information about the regularity of the tapping and the fatigue. Tap interval, regularity and fatigue are in a relationship to the age and to the development status of the children or the teenager. By the comparsion of both hands it is possible to draw a conclusion about the true handedness of the test person. There are comparsion datas between 5 and 90 years available thanks to Prof. Niels Galley from Cologne who did enclosing studies and data collections. Intentionally the test process is held very simple: During a period of 30 seconds the proband taps as fast and regular as possible on a Morse key  at first with the apparently not preferred hand and then with the preferred hand. By a diagram and by a number based analysis of both training periods you can draw conclusions about handedness, laterality and the factor of fatigue. These conclusions may be used as the base for a training concept.
