In this category you find key products related to test / assessment of central processing capabilities of the brain. A key element are devices designed for tests in accordance with the Warnke method, primarily meant for dyslexic, CAPD or ADD/ADHD patients. Software products and low-level-test systems are located in their respective catagories.
ADD/ADHD diagnosis so far has been primarily subjective at best. In cooperation with the Charité University of Berlin and the Child Psychiatry Clinic of Mainz, MediTECH has developed a key objective test procedure to determine if a patient has ADD/ADHD or not. Further information on this new and solid form of screening diagnosis can be found here.
The system's release date is set for the end of 2011. Pre-orders can be placed in advance already.
This screening kit dealing with the binocular fusion allows a quick and precise test evaluation of the 3-D-vision of a test candidate. The test consists of a transparent overlay with different symbols, a corresponding red and green pair of glasses and a light box which insures independency from different lighting conditions.
On the overlay, there are twelve items in four groups (one item below the other).
Each item is well known by kids. Each group of three items consists of a red, a green and a colorless circle.
The test candidate is asked to put on the glasses and to quickly name all figures in the different groups (circles). Depending on the results a screening indication concerning the ability for 3-D-vision can be provided.
The set contains:
-Luminous box (with 1,80 m AC cord)
-2 fluorescent tubes
-screws and dowels for fixing
This product is usually used alongside with the Lang-Stereo-Test II (Art-Nr. 8029).
Using a reading test with meaningful texts you run the risk to estimate the reading skills of children sometimes better than they really are. Some children recognize words by their appearance (as pictures) and can even associate words from the context although they were actually not able to read them. This test was designed for the first four school years and consists of a meaningless text. In this case the child cannot associate words from memory but must read what is written. Thus the child´s ability of reading on the grapheme-level can be checked quite accurately.
The red and green shapes in this test's overlay correspond directly to the red and green glasses the client is meant to wear during the test.
The client positioned 3 meters away from the overlay, which is strongly suggested to be placed on a suitable white light screen. The client gets to wear the red and green glasses and is now asked to describe all the symbols on the overlay. He will only see all of them if BOTH eyes work together, otherwise one of the circled symbols will appear to be black.
