The Equilus alpha represents a new kind of portable test and training device for the objective measurement and treatment of balance and coordination disorders in the mobile application.
The measuring technique is based on the electronic monitoring of medical balance measurement functions, as it is used in the physiotherapy for the treatment of balance and coordination disorders. Therefore, for the first time, with the Equilus alpha a test system is available that combines the measuring process and the medical therapy / training methodology in one device. So, therapy relevant test results are generated that can be clearly interpreted.
The Equilus alpha uses an innovative hardware and software concept that automatically calibrates and adjusts the device - an absolutely levelled surface is not necessary.
Due to its light weight – the measuring plate weighs less than 2 kg – the Equilus alpha is easy to transport and, therefore, perfect for the mobile application. Measurements in a clinic directly at the patient’s bed or on the sports field can now be carried out easily and conveniently.
